Desirae Thompson is the current Chief Executive Officer of Thompson Counseling & Consultation, located in Youngstown, OH. As the former COO of Youth Intensive Services, she has over 20 years of experience working with children and adults in the mental health field across various settings. Her current credentials include being a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a supervision designation (LPCC-S), a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), a Certified Chemical Dependency Assistant (CDCA), and a Certified Ohio Behavior (COBA). She completed her undergraduate studies at Youngstown State University in May 2001 with a major in Psychology, and then pursued her master’s degree in Community Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2007. Desirae is dedicated to helping individuals of all, races, and ethnicities using a variety of treatment modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
